Creative Audigy problem

Hi

I 've got a problem with my Audigy 2 ZS. The card is connected to my Megaworks 550 but for some unknown reason the sound has now become distorted and also I cannot hear from the rear left speaker and centre speaker now. I have uninstalled the drivers and other software and reinstalled it and still have the same problem. I have double checked the connections from the card to the speaker system. I have done a complete reinstall of win xp made no difference. I should also mention that I also have another sytem with an Audigy card but still have the same problem as well. I contacted Creative who kindly sent me a Pro Gamer 500 5.1 system yesterday. And would you believe it I still have the same problem. I even swapped the cards around from the two systems I have and still the same problem. Its driving me nuts trying to figure what is causing this problem. Any help would be much appreciated. :mad:

How about from the onboard soundcard? Need to isolate whether the problem is from the sound card end or the speaker end.. assuming that it is not the cable (you already said it wasn't).

Yes as mentioned abouve, uninstall the audigy and all the drivers and try *** speakers connected to the onboard sound. If its fine then its possible your soundcard is faulty, buit to be sure, disable onboard sound again, reinstall the audigy and see if it still happens.

Hi I have used the onboard sound still the same problem. And reinstall and still the same problem. The thing is that i have two soundcards and both show the same problem.
