Creative Audigy + Vista + 5.1

Got Vista RC2 and a Creative Audigy Player - it refuses to work in 5.1 (rear speakers). My friends Audigy 2 and Vista also wont work in 5.1. The test feature in sound options (control panel) shows that all speakers are working (little chime it makes for each speaker). Any ideas? Got the lastest beta drivers - is this anything to do with Creative been crap?

i was stuck with 2 channel sound in RC2 until i installed RTM, now have proper 5.1 with my X-FI.

Strange, im on RC2 and the guy with an Audigy 2 is on RTM.

I have vista RTM and dont get any sound using audigy ZS or X-Fi Xtreme music. The latest creative drives are for RC1 and i think the final ones are out near Jan 8th as the RC1 drivers expire then.
