Creative Card Help

I have a 5.1 Creative card in and I'm pretty sure installed, on my ASUS Motherboard there is also sposed to be 5.1 sound.

I have the manual to my mother board and have put the leads in what I think are the right sockets but still only 2 speakers are sounding. When I change the leads over into my soundcard there is no sound at all. Do I need to change a setting or something?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Just got the front 2 speakers to work in the soundcard but still no luck with the back 2. Any ideas?

How do your speakers connect to the sound card? do you have a seperate amp or decoder of sorts?

I'm not sure how au fait you are with pc's so don't want to patroniose you.
Have you been into My Computer>Control Panel>Sounds and Audio Devices..
under speaker settings go to 5.1 speaker settings.

Also you might want to look at the creative Audio HQ. You may find
this in your programs>creative (from the windows start menu). What
specific card do you have and what is your speaker set up called?

Done all that (pretty confident with PCs), the creative HQ isnt there anymore for some reason. The speakers go through my sub and then 3 wires (black green and orange) connected into the soundcard, cant remember the exact model number though.
