Creative Fatal1ty HS-980 Professional Gaming Headset MkII HELP

Nothing mate ... Well disappointing :p

Thing is it says for example that the noise canceling is only supported with an audigy sound card but then it says nothing about that with the voice FX ...

I cant evan find a download for Voice FX online

Hi mate,

Found this for you:

Applicable To: Soundblaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Champion Series, Soundblaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Professional Series, Soundblaster X-Fi Titanium Professional Audio, Soundblaster X-Fi Titanium, Sound Blaster X-Fi Go! and Fatal1ty Professional Series Gaming Headset MkII.

There are three requirements in order to have the Silencer and Voice FX features. First, you need to have any one of the sound cards stated above. Second, you need to have the MKII Gaming Headset. Third, you need to install driver version 2.17.0007 for Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium series sound cards or driver version 1.01.0096 for X-Fi Go!.

Note: Install Creative Console Launcher version 2.61.35 for Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium series sound cards.

I agree mate, ive allways had plantronics & Sennheiser and i much prefer these

Lets see how long they last ;-)

I've yet to find a headset where the lead doesn't tangle itself into one unholy mess after a few weeks. I've tried Sennheiser and Plantronics and am thinking of going wireless unless someone can tell me of a good set that doesn't tangle so easily. ;)

I have two pairs of the cheaper HS-800 ones that I got at £20 each and they were a steal at that price. The cord already snapped on one of them, so now I'm just using one, but will get one of these HS 980s if the cord snaps on this one too.

Actually, the cords on my creative headsets have never tangled. They just snap because they are always getting caught under my chair legs and getting overstretched where they connect to the headphones when I move and yank them off my head :(
