just after some opinions on these speakers, i'm currently either listening to music/net radio through my laptop speakers (eurgh) or my pc monitor speakers (q17, same quality as a laptop set). i used to use an all in one hifi setup through the aux in but that is now powering the living room for films.

most of my music varies between 128 and 320kbps, trying to get more high quality now as through my headphones i can tell the difference. i was originally looking at getting a hi-fi setup but the footprint would be too big and i don't think i could justify the cost as most of my music is stored on the pc and not on cd's.

is it worth spending £60 on a pair of stereo speakers, or should i spend that much on a 5.1 set? volume is not an issue as i don't want to annoy the neighbours but i wouldn't mind some quality. a stereo setup i think would look ok on my desk and i don't really want any trailling 5.1 wires, although i probably could do that as i have a desk behind me too (for working)

so should i buy these, or get some cheaper ones, or spend a similar amount of money on a 5.1 setup (would like 2 inputs like these speakers have). failing all that is it really worth spending £200 on an amp+2speakers or a £200 5.1 setup?

thanks
