Hello everyone,
Just recently my Logitech Z-4 died and I have to admit although there were not the most expensive speakers around, they did a very good job at giving a clear, smooth sound and very good mid/high's.

Since I bought them a long time ago I was wondering if there are any worthy successors in the 70-90 pound range. I have noticed that Creative Gigaworks are getting a lot of positive feeback as well as the Logitech Z520.

I would be grateful if someone who owns one of these could share their experience with me.

I will be mainly using them as computer speakers for listening to music. My room is pretty small so I can't afford a big subwoofer thus I am searching for a 2.0 set. However if there is any exceptional 2.1 set I would love to take a look at!

Thank you very much! :)

I was in the same boat with regards to the subwoofer, I went for the Creative T20s I think they are absolutely amazing, not tried the Z520s however, but I would highly recommend the Creative. :)

If it were my choice to make, I'd get the Edifier R1600T's. They are only £15 more than the T20's. The T20's might be the best choice if the R1600T's are too large, or you absolutely want to stick to £55, and no more.

I'd probably take the T20's if it came to a choice between them and the Z520's.

Got my T20 (Series 1) a good while ago, never found a true fault, they cackle a bit when I turn them up slowly, but nearly 3 years old.
Dropped/knocked them over a few times tidy up my desk, still good. Also never had to turn them up past 12 o'clock.

+1 for t20's, had mine for about a yr now didn't have the space for the t40's cannot fault the sound though when using a good sound card. They produce enough base even without a sub.

Yeah I find Winamp, with DFX EQ prog through my mobos stock sound card is enough DUN DUN to block out the neighbours Beiber noise.

Edifier R1600Τ's seem very sturdy as Marsman noted. It's kind of hard to judge which of them would be since everyone's opinion is different based on experience.

At least I know that pretty much any choice will is good value for money!
