Recently bought the oem version of the speakers. I am running windows vista 64 and have a creative audigy soundblaster se 7.1. At the back of my pc I have the following inputs for audio, along the bottom i have a staight line running accross with orange, black, green and blue and then above that toward the middle of the tower I have two rows with a top row of orange black and grey and bottom of pink green and blue. I have tried both sets of cables in pretty much every output, which should i be using for a start? Also when I play something on windows media player i hear no sound but in control panel and sound I see that there is an output supposedly coming out because the green bars are going up and down but I'm hearing nothing with speakers maxed and when i do a test nothing comes out either. Also when I turn the speakers on I don't hear anything apart from the click. What am i doing wrong?

Hi, thank you for your help I have done everything you said to try, but
the problem is still there the subwoofer just switches it's self off
After a couple of minutes and there is no power to the display panel it
just flashes then the red light comes on which is as it should be but
once you press the power button the subwoofer ping's and it all goes
off. Just to let you know I am not a novice PC's, there is a fault with the subwoofer. I had the speakers as
a birthday present and I'm gutted that they don’t work and now I have to
go through all sorts of hassle to get this sorted, I know of other
people who have the same problem so is it a design fault. Anyhow I just
want to have a working speaker system, It wouldn't be so bad if they
were cheap but these are a lot of money and I can't use them

see if you have the sane subwoofer as theG550W
