Yesterday i spilled about half a pint of liquid (ribenna) on the floor next to my pc; and yup you guessed it some splashed inside the case!

The only thing it hit was the Creative X-fi fatality; the sound stopped playing in itunes and i pulled the power faster than you can imagine; whipped out the sound card and dried it as best I could.
I thought all was lost and the warranty was obviously void; i went to bed last night a worried man.

This morning i wake up fingers crossed and shaking slightly with adrenaline i put the card in and booted up the pc and to my horror the good old windows start up chimed! As soon i could i booted up itunes and yes the music played; next i darted into the quake wars beta (in game mode) and everything worked, not a crackle in site!

So hey their drivers might suck, but yet again the hardware towed the line...

I once dropped a PCI bracket screw on top of a Geforce 4 TI4200 which killed it in action.

I cacked myself and ended up returning the card for RMA to the local pc shop stating "it stopped working"

I was a student at the time and could not afford a new card so I have a valid reason for doing so!
