Hi,

Do you know whether you can connect the Creative SB Titanium HD sound card to the LOGITECH 5.1 Z-5500 Speakers without any issues?

Will i need to buy extra wires ? ? Are the above two a nice combination ?

Thanks

You get some optical cables with the hd , all you do is plug one end in hd card at the back then the other end
in the z5500 sub. You then need to go into creative control panel and sellect dolby or dts

That would be overkill, pairing the Titanium HD and Logitech Z5500 speakers.

Titanium HD, like the Xonar Essence, is best used with analogue stereo speakers, or a decent pair of headphones.

You would be using SPDIF connection to the speakers, from the sound card, so the Titanium HD won't be any different from a normal Titanium.

As long as the sound card can do encode to Dolby or DTS in real time, which the normal Titanium can, just as the Titanium HD can, than you're sorted.
