just got my Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme through the post. i usually pay some one to install stuff for me, but i fancied having ago myself and would really appreciate someone guiding me through installing it. please bare in mind im not very confident with computers and i will be in and out a lot today so if i dont reply quickly thats why many thanks

Follow the quick instructions it comes with. Im using the latest drivers from here: http://uk.europe.creative.com/suppo...&driverlang=1033&OS=10&drivertype=0&x=30&y=17

If you have previously been using onboard sound on your motherboard, install the new card; reboot, enter your bios before loading windows and disable your onboard sound. Save and exit the bios and follow the quick guide easy install that came with your card.

if ocing with a mobile cpu you might need to disable the onboard sound in windows
