Hi all

Whats my best option for getting good surround sound from my pc for gaming, I have the msi x570 prestige with ALC 1220 codec,I also have the Creative x7,

Can I connect a dolby atmos soundbar to the X7 via optical? Or via pc

Any help appreciated
 
What kind room you have?
Pretty certain those sound bars require symmetric room/positioning inside it with acoustics inside certain range to have any chances for some kind surround sounding output:
They rely on bouncing sound from surfaces of the room to try to create feel of surround... Which is messy enough even in good surrounding.

Good headphones and HRTF are lot easier for good gaming immersion assuming you have pretty average head shape.

HDMI from GPU to the soundbar to get Atmos as AFAIK optical does not support it.
