Creative Sound Blaster Z "What U Hear"

Hey all,

I currently have sound blaster X-fi xtreme audio which does not support "what u hear" I need this feature back. Does anyone know if the above card supports this?

A setting in Creative cards for many years that is kind of hard to explain, I would say I used it for recording but not sure if I can think of other uses.

@ OP seems to be issue if card is OEM vs retail (Dell etc) and XP vs newer OS like Win 7 and may be fixed by 3rd party mudded driver like Daniel or PAX.

I think the ZX does have it Now I know what you mean I believe I saw it.

I used it mainly for recording. I had a really old sound blaster live many years ago, It would record "what you hear" streaming audio etc, I got a newer card a few years ago and i lost the facility, I want it back, very handy.

Did you read above and try the DK or PAX drivers?

Ahhhh i didnt realise i could maybe get my existing card working, OOOoooOO i wil have to have a go before i buy a new card. Cheers

Yes but with modded drivers they possibly might.

Yes Rid's, But further posts suggest it may be possible. Wil have a play before i purchase.
