The card use to work fine , then whilst playing stopped working , tried it in another pc and it works fine. Just not in this one any more. The pc just doesnt detect its there , for example when the drivers are tried to be installed it says no device is found , and still will not work even after a full re format , any ideas what can be done to get it working.

ive got the same card, its not much better than my onboard realtek hd audio as far as i can tell so far, the only thing i have is eax, which is rubbish in cod2. 
check device manager see if its there, also go to...
start>control panel>sounds,speech and audio devices>sounds and audio devices>audio tab
and check if the drop down has the audigy in it if so select it and it will use that, if its not there i dont know what the problem is sorry
