hello.
i have been having major problems with my Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi Fatal1ty soundcard.
i have had it since march 2007 and was fine for a couple of months, very pleased with it.
but it has now got to the stage where it will not boot my pc if the card is installed.
i have done my best to see it working again. but one moment it will work.
next moment i will turn my pc on. the pc will not post/boot so i have to take the soundcard out in order for the pc to actually boot into windows. i have sent in a RMA request from *****.
but im quite sad that the card is very poorly designed via the pins on the back that connects to the internal drive bay addon. i believe that the pins are causing the card to not boot the pc. as its very easy for the pins to get bent.
i would love to know if anyone else had or is having a simular problem with this card?
i have been looking for a replacement now. and after searching for awhile it would seem they released a Auzentech X-Fi Prelude 7.1 Sound Card but after checking the card it looks like they still have the poorly designed pins on the back of the card again...
should i wait for a upgrade...?
or buy the Auzentech X-Fi Prelude 7.1 Sound Card?
as the card i originaly own is now discontinued from *****
regards, Cezare
