I have an Asus A8N-E in an Antec Sonata II case, and am having trouble with the rear line out from the onboard sound only putting out the right channel. The Antec case has a front panel line out which I've connected to the right spot on the m'board, and that works fine.
I could RMA the m'board but was thinking of getting the AE Aego M speakers and a soundcard as the PC is in the living room and my hifi amp (not used much) has just blown. My question is: is there a way of connecting the front panel audio of the Sonata case to a Creative soundcard (X-Fi or Audigy), so that when I plug my headphones into the front panel it will deactivate the rear line out. I've had a scout around the Creative website but can't find the answer. I understand the Aego M doesn't have a headphone socket which would have sold my problem. I also don't want to spend the extra to get the breakout box with the soundcard.
Thanks for helping.
