I am considering buying a set of Creative T20 speakers. I have read quite a few reviews that say how good these speakers are, but I have also read that they can have a problem with the left speaker whining and generating static noise (there are quite a few people complaining about this on the creative forums).

£50+ is a lot of money for a pair of PC speakers and I want to make sure that I am making the right decision to buy them. Does anyone have any experience with these speakers? have the above issues now been fixed or do they effect a certain batch.

Any advice or information would be appreciated.

Thanks

The issue is a wire comes of on one of them easy, you open it up and connect it tighter (must be push on spade connector or such (Im guessing) and its sorted (I know you should not need to as thats Creatives problem).

The T40's are better and may not have that issue as newer and the LED is not as bright (too bright on T20's)

I have a pair of the T20's. Had them about a year or so and no problems with them at all.

Sonically, i think they're excellent, i'd be really surprised if you could buy better for the same or less money.

Also like the fact that they have a relatively small footprint and less wires as no subwoofer required. They also have aux in for connecting other devices and also haedphone out.

I let my brother listen to them and he bought a pair as did another mate who heard them.

I couldn't recommend them highly enough!

I bought a pair today based on the TrustedReviews review & the discounts....gave them editors choice award and got 2 10/10's and Two 9/10's :eek::eek: I'll be slinging my 3yr old Sony HiFi in the kitchen :)

Got 2 pairs of T20's and had no problems. Would recommend them to anyone that wants a decent, simple 2 speaker setup for their PC.

That LED is bright but a bit of bluetack solves that ;)

I have just ordered the T40's i should have them tomorrow. Ill report back what i think of them :p

Did you read the review on trustedreviews.com ? I plumped for the T20's in the end as they're for desktop use really. I'm very impressed with them so far :)

Just read the review on the T40's now. It was only £20 more for the T40's over the T20's and they will be replacing my 5.1 setup. Looking at the review it aays the T40's are better for films and dialogue and i watch films allot, also it mentions they are slightly better at lower volumes which i often use at night when everyone is in bed but i still want to listen to music.

I'm sure they will be a good replacement for my 5.1 setup.

Well my T40's have just arrived :p

So far i think they are very good, they are just the right size for my desk and sound pretty damn good too. They are very clear and are surprisingly loud so i can turn them up when no one is home :D
