Creative X-Fi 2 info?

Just seen a couple of reports that Creative have something in the pipeline for X-Fi 2. Done a quick google but can't find any real info and even the sites report that Creative are keeping this one quiet.

Anyone got any info (specs/release) on this at all? :)
 
Just what little I have posted and if you use SEARCH you can see some others gave me BS on topic.

Its possible to have a G-Force 2 or N-Force 2 or Audigy 2 but not a X-FI 2 is seems ;).

Isn't it supposed to be the same stuff essentially but with drivers that actually work properly in Vista 64? Rumour had it normal X-Fi kit works in Vista but Creative had dumbed down/disabled certain features so they could flog the X-Fi 2 as "Vista friendly".

I don't know really. I think I read that on here though not sure on the accuracy of it.
 
No, I have pictures of a basic half size X-FI 2 Prototype card and a close up of the Chipset (have had for many months).

AFAIK its a totally new set up and at the end of the day the X-FI's do work in Vista for many users inc myself.

If you remember correctly, Creative said it was very hard to get a Soundcard to run on the Latency's of the PCI-E 1.0 bus.

They stated it would need a total new Chipset developed and would be far easier of PCI-2.0.

This IMO is why all the Creative PCI-E cards are basic and nothing like the Fata1ty or Extreme Music full blown cards.
