Hi there,

Quick question. I've had a play over the last few months with Vista RC1 and RC2 and was wondering how you X-Fi owners are finding the beta drivers for the sound card.

They have been buggy and iffy for me. I havn't tried the latest release, is it any better? In the readme on the website it says that there are known issues with DirectSound and 6 speakers. People finding them ok with games?

Getting Ultimate 64bit in the next few days and was hoping the drivers were better. They'll get there eventually...

Thanks,

Loko :p

Creative drivers all suck. period

I had more trouble trying to update my SB Audigy 2 ZS than ever. It kept saying that "no Audigy soundblaster could be recognised"

I managed to do it, finally being able to download a driver that actually work....

Hmm least they have some drivers out for the SB Live :) that was one of the things holding me back from the release

Who does?

My SB live (not 24 bit) works with generic drivers supplied with Vista, but you get very few options, and the mic won't work.
I think there are some modded drivers to fix this, but they ain't from creative.

Bit of a specific question but does anyone know if the medusa headphones will work through a x-fi xrteme gamer fatal1ty on games like 2142 and fear on 64 bit (home premium) vista with all the features?

My X-Fi is working fine on the beta drivers. The only things that's a bit of a pain at the moment is that the breakout box doesn't work so my remote is useless and the audio console doesn't load into the system tray. You need to start it manually to switch sound modes then shut it down again.
