Hi

New build with Win 7 64Bit SP1 . I have noticed with this card , a lot of high frequency static noise when certain things are on-screen like bright colours or alt-tab out of a game or even faintly when you move the mouse around (you can hear a kinda whirr whirrr sound).

I updated to latest drivers thinking that would fix it but alas, no . Anyone else have this issue ? Just crappy drivers?

Other hardware in machine is Sapphire 6900 GPU and thats about it .

Its sitting in a PCIx slot beside the GPU - should I try a diff slot ? Asus P8Z68 DELUXE GEN3 Board

Tks

Hi.

No i am using outputs on back of card. Tried enabling Spectrum and also moved card to another PCIx slot . It made'some' difference in that the clicking and popping that was there when the machine booted , has stopped , but the EMI noise is still there ... very annoying . Might try my older X-Fi Fatality Pro card ( PCI) instead , if thats no better might try a Xonar card ...

Pretty annoyed this kinda thing is still happening nowadays.

Hi

I am using 2 x Mackie studio monitors .

its a new card in a new build , so yeah its done it since the start. machine is around 10 days old . Nothing new has been added to the setup.

Thanks guys !

New card, new build, but the machine is 10 years old? I must be missing something there.

PAX drivers link.

:-) yeah , 10 days !! I might give them a go. Its just very annoying this kidna **** is still happening with so called 'decent' sound cards . Im tempted just to use the onboard sound tbh at this point , it cant be any worse !

Thanks for all the suggestions .
