Creative Zen Vision or Apple iPod Video 30GB

I'm looking at buying the Creative in the next few days. I've done plenty of comparisons between the two (and other models), and for me the Creative ticks all the boxes :)

If it supported the USB host function then it'd be perfect. It's the only thing stopping me buying one. Apart from that it looks pretty perfect! :)

I decided to go for the Zen Vision in the end and I'm very happy with the choice, sound quality is really good although the head phones that came with it are kinda lame so I'm just using my old sony fontopia headphones with it. The menu system is really smooth with the unit to and songs seem to load pretty much instantly and there is hardly if not any pause between tracks. Video playback is good too and it'll play pretty much any video you throw at it and if it can't play a video it'll convert it for you using the pc software, which is also good.

It also looks really nice too, nice black finish to the front and a hard dark silver metal finish on the back.
 
I'd get the iPod tbh. If its for the wife, the iPod is very easy to manage songs on it, iTunes is also a great media imo and is very stable/simple for me.
 
I agree. For what it's worth, the girls/ladies I know like slim/light players, and the iPod definitely take the cake there. The main advantage of the Creative Vision is in video playback. If that is a priority, then it might make it a better player. But for music playback, they are at most equal, and I personally would side with the pod.
