I may need to return some faulty 5.1 speakers (see: http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17735980) if my new sound card won't fix the problem. They're Creative speakers and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with their RMA service? I know some company's RMA service are really good while some others' are really bad, I was wondering if Creative's was any good.

Thanks.

They're ok, but they won't cross-ship like Logitech, who frequently don't even ask for the faulty unit back. This can result in you being without sound for two weeks.

My headphones will do fine for the time being. I just want working speakers.

Oh and I was wondering, because only the subwoofer is faulty and all the speakers are fine, could I just buy a new sub? Or wouldn't another work because it's an all in one deal? I'd rather do that than mess around with returns.

When my control unit was faulty, they literally only wanted that item rather than the whole thing, for obvious reasons. So I'd imagine that they'd only want the sub returned, but the best way to begin the process is by email in my experience. This way you have a log of the events in writing.

Ah I see. Well after I test the sound card tommorrow (I know it won't help any, but it's worth trying) I'll send 'em an email explaining the problem first then.

Thanks mate.
