If a new CC has (for example) a 0% for new purchases deal for the first 3 months, does this mean all purchases made in that 3 month period remain fully interest free until they are paid, despite how long you take to pay? Or is the interest free period only for 3 months?

Do also remember that you have to pay the minimum amount otherwise you loose the 0% interest. So setup a DD for the minimum amount as soon as you get the card.
