Creep jailed for 2 years after touching woman's feet.

Some very hursutist comments in here. I personally think a jail term excessive, a hefty fine for him to foot, or a lengthy spell doing good public works like 10 hours a day shoe shining would have been more appropriate. Maybe he's an undiscovered chiropodist? In seriousness though, I have never understood how anyone could be aroused by fiddling with a woman's foot. In the summer some of the bints in open shoes around here look as if they need their feet boiling in Dettol for a few hours.
 
Without digging, I don’t know the circumstances around the sentencing. It does seem superficially too long but perhaps there was a reason. Either way, it sounds like the offender might need help.

The victim might need support too. Its conceivable to have a long term fear unease, or worse, if using public transport.

There is something called a foot fetish. So instead of being turned on by the usual things like a nice lady-like figure, hourglass figure, nice legs etc, certain blokes get turned on by women's bare feet.

I think what's relevant here though is that this bloke has harassed numerous women, got given a court order, then he broke that court order. 2 years custodial is pretty hefty, so he probably repeatedly broke the court order / ignored a few warnings first.
 
I don't understand the foot fetish thing either, still seems a bit ruff, considering the guy who had a slave for 40 years got a suspended sentence O_O
 
I guess the creepiness has added to it, obvs he had a chance to not be a total freak and then breached that so there need to be consequences... the non-custodial route didn't work so time to give him some jail time. Surprised it was 2 years though rather than say a few months people get away with less for assaults that do much more (physical) harm all the time - I guess that's because of the sexual nature/creepiness in addition to this being his second time around, breached the non-custodial punishment/restriction he was previously given...

It wasn't his first offense and he had been warned before he knew what the outcome was going to be if he continued doing what he was doing. Some people just never learn.
