Cricket - The Hundred

Supporting the Superchargers but slightly annoyed they’ve got so many Durham players but not using them - although Pottsy is getting a game tonight.

Oval Invincibles making a hash of this 34-5 off 36 balls.

Edit - they’ve pulled it back for 146-5 after 93 balls.

Edit 2 - Invincibles won anyway!

You could say it about any competition really. Mrs Feek and I enjoyed it last year.

Looks like it’s all free to air again this year, either on the BBC or the Sky Sports Mix channel (416).

They're trying to sell off stakes in the teams to people around the world, including NFL owners:

For me the main point is the way it has most if not all the games as doubleheaders with the men and women rather than getting no coverage as with the rest of the women's domestic cricket. The other good thing about it is that it seems to attract a different demographic than the other major competitions which is either retired people or stag do's! The more people watching cricket, the more chance that some will take it up.

I've enjoyed it so far and try and watch as much as possible. We went to Trent Bridge last year and we're going again a week today. I think it's a good event for the youngsters - my lad is 10 and enjoys the atmosphere. The only negative I can think of is the price of the merch. He wanted a Trent Rockets bucket hat and they were north of 30 quid, way too much. Once he saw the price he didn't even push for one... Hopefully the games today will be more competitive as Birmingham were pretty awful yesterday.
