Didn’t see a thread on the console side. So thought I’d make one as I’m sure some people will be playing. :D

The game releases next Thursday.

The launch trailer dropped today.

Wow that DF vid really does sell the exploration aspect. I wonder how much PSSR2 will add to the presentation. Damnit, I really do not need to buy this at the moment.
 
Yeh that DF video is makig it really hard to stick to my idea of buying no more games until GTA6 this year and going through some of my backlog...

If reviews come out and are good too it will be even more difficult to resist.
 
Reviews are whatever for me. What a reviewer likes and what I like will be different. I’m pre ordered up and ready to go with the pro. :cool:
 
Still can't make my mind up about this game. Looks ambitious with a huge explorable map but can't help feel it may suffer from a lack of focus. Graphics didn't "wow" me in the DF review ( for PS5 Pro ) - lighting looks good with plenty of detail but there was a lot of artifacts, shimmering, pop-in etc. I appreciate some of these things may improve with PSSR 2.0.

Given my concerns, if I end up placing a pre-order will probably do so on Steam so I can refund if disappointed. It's a pity the PSN store isn't as consumer friendly.

PSSR2 will be there for launch day! Which is great.

Edit. I do agree with psn being unfriendly to consumers regarding refunds. It shouldnt be so difficult to get one. Like purchasing.. it should be a one button and done

I've had the collectors edition on PS5 ordered for a while, had a gut feeling this would be a decent game. Even better I have it on PC as well via the AMD promo so be interesting to compare the two! Watched the DF video last night, looked very good on the Pro and I'm sure the PSSR update will make it look even better. Roll on next week!
 
For anyone stumbling across this thread, and perhaps this game for the first time… just to clarify, it’s not an MMO, or even considered an RPG. It’s more akin to an action adventure such as Tsushima or BoTW. And single player, with multiplayer maybe considered at a later date.

Finding it really hard to focus at work right now with only 2 days to go (realistically I won't be playing at 10pm).

I have a 4-day weekend booked, and then another week just before Easter, all of it intended for Crimson Desert.

I will be playing on the Pro, and may double-dip to PC if mods ever arrive, but I'm not holding my breath on that.

Pre load done. Can’t take time off but will be playing on release night! Think it’s ten pm tomorrow !
