Crippled cheap 1070 version?

Do they exist? Hard to believe that a 1070 would cost under £200 even in HK. Memory is the same so could something else be disabled?

AFAIK a GTX 1070 is a GTX 1070, if something else is disabled within the chip itself then it is not a 1070.

Maybe post a link to the listing of the product - not sure if that is totally allowed though.

If something seams too go to be true, then its probably not true.

You will probably end up with a gt730 with a BIOS flash or nothing at all.

I would be very careful if I were you. You'll get a rubbish card with a 1070 sticker slapped on it or a dead 1070 with void warranty

There's cheap cards floating about on the rainforest, usually about half the expected price but they are scams so don't bother.

yup, forgot about that one, there are a number of fleebay sellers who do the same.

There are also tons of fake cards on Ebay, you buy a 'GTX1070' and get a GTX250 or something equally crap flashed with a fake bios.

Ebay is flooded with them, labelled as everything from a GTX750 to a GTX1080 for half the RRP - but all the same, crappy fake card.

If its to good to be true its a scam ^.^ like 1080 for 300gbp on gumtree BT only hehehe, reported few on those.
