I wouldnt normally post about such a silly little thing but I've just been down to my local Spar shop and fancied a nice pack of Cheese & Onion McCoys! :D

No price tag near the box so I assumed they would be around 40p as I'd bought a pack yesterday and thats how much they were in Tescos.

Imagine my horror when I got to the checkout with my 50 pence piece in hand and the puddin behind the counter charged me 82p for them!?!?!?!?!?!

I know its only 82p but OVER DOUBLE THE PRICE is ridiculous!!!

Anyway....rant over....

they cost about that in my pub, maybe even more, not seen them that much in a normal shop though

I find Walkers Sensations are fine for a party but to just sit & chomp through a pack I like the chunkiness of the McCoys!!

ps. However - all crisps taste better when they arent yours and you are just nicking one on the way past!!! :D

It's Spar what you expect they over charge for everything.

I can appreciate them being more (my mum and dad used to run a Spar shop so I know the history!) - my issue is with the size of the mark-up!
I would have accepted 50p - maybe even 60p - but 82p!?!?!

Disgusted!

Thats a stupid price lol! In our local villiage shop which is now owned by some indians they under change me by 5p everytime i go in there! unless the shelf prices arnt up to date with the till prices, which i think is highly unlikely seeing as its such a small shop!
