Unfortunately the EVGA x99 board isnt in stock. Any ideas of when its going to be in? This is the only x99 motherboard that interests me. I dont want the red gigabyte one as im going for a white and black theme.

Anything else I need? For now ill be gaming at 1080p with the hope of buying a new monitor mid next year. I use photoshop, after effects and video editing (various suites). Nothing heavy but more than the average I would think.

Looks good, regarding the evga board. Id suggest asking in the customer support forum. Hopefully someone will be able to give you an idea of when the board will be available.

ok im gonna go ahead with this i think will have to get the motherboard elsewhere as hoping to build this before xmas.

before anyone thinks of building the same i just had a quick read about the spacing of the screw holes of the water cooler and its compatibility to the case. i wouldnt get the combo as it seems to be a problem

is this build any better? Feel like im getting a newer processor, over clocked for me and an extra 256gb m.2 card for the same price. I guess this chipset will be furture proof too? meaning i wont have to change my mobo if u wanna upgrade......

No x99 will win in the long run new 8 core and 10 core cpus are coming for it in the future by the name of broadwell E. Aswell as the fact the x99 cpus are better now anyway the lowest tier x99 is better than the highest tier skylake so x99 wins again lol.
