Hi,

does this laptop spec seem balanced or could it be optimised anywhere? Use is movies and gaming.

Is it worth going for a 3320 or 3360 instead? I'm unsure how the GPU compares to the CPUs?

Get the upgraded screen first then spend as much as you can on the processor.

Get things you cant easily upgrade, i would get the cheapest RAM as well, its cheaper to buy 16GB from OCUK at a later date, same with HDD get the cheapest then later get and ssd and clone the drive.

Ya that was my train of thought too, so perhaps drop the HDD to a 250gb 5400rpm for now. As for the processor, will an i5 3210 be alright with that GPU?

A lot of the benchmark sites use an i7 QM for the tests. Is this just overkill so it doesn't bottleneck? I'm thinking 2.6ghz i5 will do it. I can afford the most expensive processor really, but what's the point when it is SO expensive? I'd rather buy the older/lesser parts for much cheaper. AMIRIGHT

Its a system builder so yes a competitor.
