Planning to redo my watercooling loop. I would like to keep it as a single loop for now as its only a single graphics card.

Laing DDC-1T Ultra
1 or 2 Thermochill PA120.3
Heatkiller CPU block
EK Mosfet and fullcover block for R2E
EK 5870 fullcover block.

Tubing, I am not sure which size would be best for this either.

I am thinking of a few possible setups:

1) Everything is serial
Res > Pump > Rad > CPU > Mosfets/Board > GPU > Res
or throw in an extra rad
Res > Pump > Rad > CPU > Mosfets/Board > Rad > GPU > Res

2) T-splitter
Res > Pump > Rad > T-split (1. CPU > Mosfets/Board), (2. GPU) > Res

Which would you recommend, which tubing size should I go for, and will the pump have enough power in it to pull it off (aimed at dual rad serial setup).

Thanks in advance.

pumps ok
1 thermochill will be fine
Heatkiller's ok but EK supreme HF is preferable
there is NO point in using mobo blocks, it just adds heat to the system for NO plus
EK 5870 block is fine

3/8" if you have a mid tower, 7/16" or 1/2" if you have a full tower

may I ask what's the cpu and what do you hope to get out of water cooling?

just asking because with AMD parts water cooling the system makes almost no difference to overclocking which is generally the only reason to buy a WCS other than for it to be a bit quieter.

I would go for one loop and it really depends on the case and position of equipment to what order things would go, just try and keep the loop as short as possible and put a RAD between GPU and CPU.

I have an MM Ascension, I can pretty much place a triple rad anywhere I want as the positioning is so flexible.

And the only reason I am going for the mobo blocks is purely for aesthetic reasons.

CPU is an i7 920 D0, which is currently cooled using just the Heatkiller block and triple rad. Ive had the mobo blocks lying around and would like to use them, and the recently acquired 5870 needs watercooled I think, I am used to having my old 4870X2 which was watercooled as well.

All in all, I am really going all out for a very good looking setup, the aesthetics is something I would really like to nail this time, as it is a lovely case.

5870 doesn't need water cooling, only GPU's on the market which do are the 470 and 480

unless you think the 5870 is too loud and then I'd give you the ok to WC it

With that case, it would be a crime NOT to watercool everything :)

You might aswell put 2 Thermy 120.3s in whilst setting it up, and run it in series.

Just route it in the neatest way, the only real criteria is pump after reservoir.

There's no ( <1 degree possible ) advantage in loop order, or tubing size.

Sounds a great build, i want pictures :D

I would put the blocks in, not really needed but does look good :D

Full water with two rads will be sweet in that case, needs a build log :)

Thanks for the input guys. I have already started the lengthy cable sleeving process! 6 fans down, 13 to go :( I also need to have a practice at cutting acrylic, I need to make some custom psu bay blanking plates through which I can route vga cables to the exterior of the case.

Ill make a build log when I have some pictures and some time to get more done!
