Cross battle adaptor question

Not sure if anyone here has one but i'm looking to buy one of these so i can use my xbox pad on my ps3 seeing as it has a better stick layout, however it says that the control pad has to be wired,

is it possible to use a wireless control pad with the charging cable plugged in or does it 100% have to be wired.

Wired. The wireless 360 controller doesn't communicate via the plug and charge lead, it's always wireless.

I'm not sure the older non + version work after the 3.50 firmware.

Mine does. I have the Cross Battle Adapter 2.0.

It's absolutely fine. The only drawback is that the triggers aren't analogue so that affects racing games (of which I don't play any).

Mainly looking at it for FPS games (black ops).

also seen the gioteck hf-1 curious about the quality of that pad when it comes out.

It'll be fine for that. You can even remap the buttons so that the normal firing buttons on PS3 (L1/R1) can be mapped to LT/RT.
