cross Fire advice please

Not sure if this should be here or on the system board forum

I would be grateful if someone can clear this up for me please, I have just ordered this board http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-465-AS&groupid=701&catid=1903&subcat=1782

And on the spec it mentions it supports Hybrid CrossFireX, I being a novice thought that this should work with the on board and a dedicated card but someone has just told me that you cant cross fire the on board with the dedicated card. He said that it is mentioned this because you could fit 2 ati cards and cross fire them.

If this is true then I will ditch the idea of getting an HD 5770 and get a 450gts.

Hybrid crossfireX will work with a 5770. It should work with any modern AMD card

It would appear that those are the only cards which will work in Hybrid CrossFireX.

You're not missing out on much. The onboard GPU is low powered and shares system RAM.

The motherboard only has 1 x16 PCI-E slot so it won't CrossFire 2 cards.

The GTS 450 is a bit pants to be honest.

For around the £100 mark a HD 5830 would have been much better but these seem to have all gone.

A gtx 550ti is better for similar money.
