I am using molex adapters so i can use 2 graphics cards for crossfire..... But my question is.... My molex adapters are double ended... do i make sure both are plugged in before plgging the 6pin into my graphics card or just make some 1 end is plugged in? Thanks in advance :)

one end is fine on the molex. Just make sure both cards have the 6 pin power connection on them coming from a molex.

I think i know what your on about, you cant really screw anything up mate, just drag power from the psu to the cards using the adaptors.

you can get away with just using one if your psu gives out enough amps per rail.
say for instance, a psu gave out just 20A per rail, and your graphics card require 40A, then you would plug each molex end into a molex from each rail...
So your not draining 40A from a 20A rail and blowing your psu....
your sharing it between each rail, giving you the combined amperage of 40A which is needed.
If you understand it a little better now, im glad i helped.

Im running a 600w ocz modxstream... Which im told will be ok for them what do you reckon? and thanks :D one end i will use then that was my only problem that was worrying me! thanks buddy! would appreciate what you think about power supply though as amd recommend it as 600w minimum and my psu is a decent one 70 pounds....

Erm Gamerdude... Can you tell me if i will be ok using one end with a OCZ Modxstream PRO 600w Modular .... As to be honest im an actuall idiot... and dont have a clue what you just meant lol ? Thanks mate

one molex should be fine... test it and find out, if it doesnt run properly, use 2

You should be fine mate, Although you will be running the psu to its limit, pretty much.
Its always good to have a little headroom, so your psu isnt permanently on full load.

But it should be fine

How will i know if its not enough??? any obvious clues? Really appreciating the help by the way :)

A lack of power can lead to:

  • bad 3D performance
  • crashing games
  • spontaneous reset or imminent shutdown of the PC
  • freezing during gameplay
And your signature is still too big. 4 lines of normal sized or smaller text only.

exactly what surveyor said mate.

or you will suffer with BSOD, basically a blue screen with mumble jumble writing, then a system restart.....
Trust me, you will know.....
