Cross fire HELP !

Hi guys, i have a sapphire ati radeon 6950 1gb i bought a while ago and i'm looking to get another one to run crossfire the problem is, i honesty cant find another new one anywhere all i can find is a 2gb version o the excact same card so basically i was wondering if it i would work in crossfire if i gotthe 2gb version ? Could Always Flash it to a 6970 for the time being, if its running a bit below par. Otherwise i would suggest getting a Newer card instead Of crossfiring.

well i was thinking of spending around £300 any suggestions on a new card ?

Sell your card and go for a 7970 at £ ~360. If you want to keep your card go for a £ ~300 7950.
