ok, i have never used cross fire so heres a question...

My board is pretty cheap, so doesnt get the best out of my cards, its got 2 pci-e, if i run one card it runs at x16 speed, however, i'm told that when i put two cards in cross-fire, they both run at x8 speed.

Is there a very large proformance hit, or would you say its would be worth it to upgrade the motherboard?
