I am getting a weird fault and would like to confirm that the fault cannot possibly be coming from my house;

i am getting crossed phone lines which mean i have two converstaions at the same time (i ring a company and speak to two operators at the same time)

or i am on a conversation and get an engaged tone or a dial tone at the same time.

is there any possible way that this can be caused by my equipment at my house? a cross line on my equiment or from my network ???

Do you have a cordless phone? This can pickup your next door's phone calls if not digital. Even digital ones have a limited number of combinations. Otherwise contact the phone company and have them diagnose it for you. Could be an exchange side fault or poor wiring in your street cab.

It sounds like when you make a call, it is made twice, indicating you have access to two phone lines.
