What do you guys use for handling cross platform email for IMAP accounts? I'm using Blue Mail just now and it seems quite good but was wondering if there's a better client available that covers desktop & Android?

I would be happy to pay for something that was worth it.

If you're looking for a single brand program that will work consistently across windows and Android then you may struggle. Each OS platform seems to have variances which can frustrate you. I.e. outlook being good on windows doesn't translate always outlook on Android being equally good.

It's maybe better to accept to using what ever program you like most for each platform.

IMAP should simply mean that your mail remains constant across all the devices / programs. I.e. I have outlook,Gmail , btyahoo email accounts which I access via outlook on the pc, Gmail on the android phone and the mail app on iOS devices - because that's what I like on each platform. The folders sync just fine between them all normally.

It really is a shame that this is the case.

Why wouldn't the email client I used on Windows be the one I'd also want to use on android? I would love it if you just have one login across any device and it then knows your created responses, email sig, all your email logins and details, filtering, tagging, etc.

It doesn't make sense to make that there isn't a good program made that does this.

Program wise not really but if you had your own custom domain on o365 and used Outlook across all devices you'd get the desired effect.

Apex,

I do agree with you , and did try to align my programs ... And there was just things which meant that something like outlook didn't work work across all platforms with all email accounts.

Hence leading to using the clients as I do know.

I may revisit it, but I don't really find it that much of an issue.
