Cross Platform FPS Game - PC vs Xbox 360

Hi everyone

I was just wondering if anyone knows of any plans for a decent cross platform FPS.

I want to show my mates, most of who are console players, that the PC is the best platform for FPS gaming.

I was gutted to hear GOW wasn't going to be cross platform.

But hopefully there will be soon.

Swadowrun is Cross Platform and works very well and a good game :cool:

I heard of Shadowrun but didn't really appeal to me, and none of my xbox 360 mates have the game, so I guess thats not gonna happen.

Anyone know of any others in the pipeline.

Is there actually any benefit for pc gamers with this cross-platform lark? E.g Shadowrun: It's an average multiplayer shooter that doesnt even have a single player campaign, and PC gamers have to pay a fee if they want to play it on Live, and buy Vista just to play it at all......Just so they can play against console gamers? Not worth it tbh.

I think the only nutcases this kind of thing would appeal to, are dudes who suck a bit, and want to feel 'speshul' by owning some joypad users

We cant even maul them with true mouse keyboard superiority, as they give console players insane amounts of auto aim, that basically snaps their cross hairs to your head in less than a second. They hardly need to look - they just move around, strafe till their crosshair gets within several screen inches of your character and then press fire. You die...

Well I quite enjoyed shadowrun, has some nice unique features. Got too distracted by other stuff to ever keep it going though, and tf2 is probably a better approach to the class based fps. Plus you can't type messages because it's cross platform.

To end this thread on equal grounds without console auto aim the PC/KB will always and everytime totally destroy console users. Sorry thats the way it is and always will be

There are (almost) none and for good reason. Almost any PC user will destroy even a veteran console gamer. You can't have people playing normally and people with autoaim in the same game, it just wouldn't work.

If you just want to show off your PC and how great it is compared to any console, try some of the latest multi-platform FPS games...
