Crossfire 1 + 2 Questions

Can you link a x1900xt and a x1950pro together?!? will it work? if no one is sure will it hurt to try? i know you can crossfire 2 x1900xt's without a mastercard and it gives you less perfomance compared to using a master and slave card.....

just a thought ill probaly try it if theres no chance it will die lol

No it wont work, you cant pair a x1900 XT with an x1950pro, x1950 pro's are the new Crossfire 2 which is done with the internal bridge just like Nvidia's SLi anyway.

Where can i get the connector? both my x1950's didnt come with one?! do they NEED one to work?

But dont you need to use that small PCB board to pysicaly connect the x1950's together inside the case like SLi

Im sure you do still need the connector for x1950pro's, only crossfire 1 was doable without the cable and mastercard, but there was a performance hit.

If you aint got any bridges then contact where you got the cards from, as the bridges are supposed to be supplied with the cards.

If x1950pro's are doable without the bridge, then there will also be a hit on performance, so probably not worth doing it without.
