Crossfire 280X to ???

Currently running 2x asus 280X DCUtop in crossfire and wondering with Black Friday coming along should I look to upgrade to a single more powerful GPU ?? not bothered whether AMD or NVIDIA.. just wondering whether its worth it ? I'll end up selling the current cards on the MM to further lower the cost of a new card...

Any advice/recommendations ?

280x crossfire is about equal to a fury pro so it would need a fair bit of cash to see a big difference.

I went from two of the same cards to a 980Ti.

Almost night and day difference.

I wouldn't bother getting a single 980ti or any version of the fury, unless you want a single card, or to cf 2 fury's or sli 980ti's.
You just won't see the gains with 1 card especially If you're 280x are clocked to around 1125mhz then I'd wait for next year.

There won't be black friday deals on the cards that would be worthwhile for you, i.e. 980 ti/titan x/fury x. So just wait for next gen imo.

I just gone from 7990 to Fury
Since I got a freesync monitor it makes a big different, it is much smoother but I lost the nice hot air for my foot

Wait while next set of cards come out, with you having crossfire you'll lose some value off of both cards anyway so it's not worth doing that for a minor increase really. Single card is usually better for overall stability but even a 980ti isn't going to be worth the price to change really. Next series of cards should be quite interesting too so I wouldn't want to miss those.
