Crossfire 7970

Hi People

Currently run a single Gigabyte Windforce 7970 but will be getting a second at the end of this month. The GPU requires 2 x 8pins for the power but my PSU (XFX 850watt Pro) only has 2 x 6 pin and 2 x 6(+2) pins the latter of which are being used on the first 7970, so i'm left with 2 x 6 pin adaptors where i need 2 x 8.

are the 6 to 8pin adaptors safe to use, will the 6 pins deliver enough power?

Are you sure? My WF 7970 only uses a 6 + 8

Yep, 6pin\8pin, so you should be ok.
