I just purchased a 2nd XFX 5770 graphics card and was really looking forward to my crossfire set.

I downloaded all the latest ATI drivers and had a quick game of COD MW3. To my surprise the game was laggy and the fps was really low.

I was having a discussion with someone else on skype at the same time and i was explaining to them how bad it was. They couldn't believe me.

I did some googleing and read several other people complaining too. Something to do with its not compatible.

how disappointing.

Radeon Pro will show your GPU usage in game. Settings > CrossfireX > Tick the box to Enable the CrossfireX bar.

And remember that Crossfire only works in full screen mode.

I downloaded the software and installed it. created a profile for MW3.

I am getting the following message, while steam is running in background:

steam must be running to play this game (instantly)

And if i don't log into steam and execute the profile, I get the following message:

steam must be running to play this game (after 15 seconds)

Any suggestions?

Thank you.

There's an option in radeon pro to configure 3rd party launchers like steam, think its in the miscellaneous tab.

Launch the game through steam, and radeonpro should recognise the game being launched as long as you have pointed to the proper exe(m3sp.exe I think it will be), you will have to make another profile for the mp exe too.

I found that adding
seta r_multiGpu "1"
to config.cfg / config_mp.cfg works just as in the previous COD games
