Crossfire board, supports 2x Nvidia?

Hi, a quick question. Would a P45 crossfire (x8) motherboard support 2x nvidia (say an 8800GT and a cheap 8600 GT) not in SLI so that I can add a 3rd monitor to my computer, linked up to the 2nd card? This screen will not be used for gaming, but the intention is to hook up a flat TV Screen to my computer and watch avi/mpeg files on it.

and you would get the aded bonus of being able to use the lower specced card as a physics processor in supported games

SLi won't work, but the second card will work on it's own - so you can hook up extra screens.
