Crossfire bridges, 1 or 2?

I noticed on some pictures, users have used 2 crossfire bridges for dual GPU setups. Is it necessary to have 2 or is 1 enough? Also does it matter if you use the ones on the right hand side or the left hand side for a single bridge connection?

You just need one.

As far as I'm aware it doesn't matter which tabs you use on the graphics cards.

you only need 1.the other one is for if you want 3 cards.most ppl put both on so they don't get lost in the drawer

As others have said - only one is needed, but mine runs with two as otherwise it looks uneven and it does my head in.
