I have just purchased a Gecube 3870 x2 which is sat on a Asus P5K-E motherboard . Im thinking of buying a second Gecube 3870 x2 to crossfire them both but i know my second PCI-E lane is only x8 , will this be a big issue on performance or should i be looking to change my mobo ?

I was getting 15646 on 3dmark06 on crossfire and my mobo has 4x on the 2nd pci-e lane.

It won't affect performance that much :D

Some people are arguing that 16/4 will be a problem with the X2, because the X2 is two gpu's not one. If you were crossfiring two 3870's it probably wouldnt be a problem, the results seem to indicate the performance hit is pretty negligible. But with quadfire the performance hit could be bigger.
