Right i currently have a HIS 4870 1gb + a 1gb Toxic

Toxic @ 780/1000 stock
His @ 750/900 stock.

Currently got them both to

Toxic - 810/1065
HIS - 770/950

Which seems to be the most stable across the board.

But what has just occured to me is, generally shared hardware stuff etc need to be the same frequency etc.

ALthough i know both crossfire cards can run at different speeds, is there any performance differences? with different settings?
Is it better to have them both the same?

Eg 45nm chips favouring 1:1 mem:cpu etc

Cheers in advance

I have seem some stutter in some games occasionally not massively, thought i might just be my eyes :D

So setting both to say 780/950 should see a slight improvement, well smoother?

The faster clock speeds mean nothing, as the faster card will have to keep stopping and waiting for the slower card to catch up, so it will effectively run the same as the slower.
