Hi,

I know there is a thread relating to this on the front page but its not quite what im after. Basically, I have an old 4870 512mb from when it was released and an X48 Asus Rampage Formula. I currently have 2 monitors plugged into the card: if i crossfire with a new 4870 will I still be able to use 2 monitors? I seem to vaguely remember reading something saying crossfire doesnt work with multi monitor setups but cant quite remember...

But I definitely want to upgrade this way rather than buying a new card. Crossfire was the whole reason i went for this mobo...

Cheers,

Yes you can still use 2 monitors, im goin to be upgradig to a 3 monitor setup next week, although it requires software.

Im not 100% sure but when you crossfire 2 cards the second card doesnt work if im correct. but if your only on 2, thats fine.
