Hey guys.

I bought a Crossfire pre-build from OCUK a short while back now, with 2x x1950 Pro's.

They worked fine in Crossfire until Catalyst started having problems. It wouldnt boot on startup, and when I tried to manually boot it, my entire system would lock up.

So i ran the ATi Uninstall Utility from Add/Remove Hardware, restarted, and was met with Windows minus its graphics drivers.
Once Windows is open, the New Hardware wizard pops up telling me its found new 'Unknown' hardware. (If I cancel, another pops up, until it has cycled through 4 of them.) I read in my gfx card instruction manual that this is normal, yet the instructions then say:

1: Click Next
2: Click Finish
3: Insert Windows Disc
4: Click OK
5: Type 'D:\SETUP'
6: Click OK
7: Click Yes to restart

But this simply does not work. So I bypassed this and just stuck the Saphire Driver CD in. This allowed me to run an express installation, and get all drivers + Catalyst back on my system.
I restarted as it requests, to be back to my 1280x1024 desktop. However, I get yet another New Hardware Found box pop up.
I am guessing this is my Second card.

What to do from here I do not know. How do I get Windows recognising my 2nd card?

Also, I started Catalyst Control Centre and enabled Crossfire. This looked as though it worked at first, with the screen going blank for a second, and then resuming as normal. I presumed this was the cards syncing together or the likes?

Yet after another restart, Catalyst Control Centre is locking up my system AGAIN, and the Add New Hardware wizard is still poping up!

Please Help!

Thanks, Matt

Added::

System just locked up yet again when I attempted to run dxdiag.

When I got back into windows, the screen went blank for a second as it used to when the system was running well, as Catalyst Control Centre boots.

I tried to open FireFox, and nothing happened. The system didnt lock up, it just did nothing. I then viewed my processes, and the firefox.exe process had started. I also notice 2 instances of CLI.exe, which is the catalyst process. I ended both, and FireFox opened. :(
