CrossFire help

I have an EVGA X58 SLI LE motherboard.

I would like to have a 5870 CrossFire setup. However, I am not sure if the 5870 CrossFire configuration will be held back by the motherboard.

PCIE Slot 1 X 16
PCIE Slot 2 X 8
PCIE Slot 3 X 4
PCIE Slot 4 X 8

Which PCI slots would I use for CrossFire? This is my first delve into dual GPUs so I would appreciate any help.

If your mobo is pciev2, which I think it is, then you should be fine with an x8 slot for the second card.

Techpowerup did an article on such scaling, google it
