Is there anyway to get even a little use out of a second GPU on games that don't have Crossfire support? I just started the Assassin's Creed Freedom Cry DLC and the second GPU sits at 0% usage, which is a bit of a shame.

I can't say I have that game so I cant test it, but is it running in full screen mode? Crossfire doesn't work unless the game is full screen, and it needs to be true full screen, not maximised windowed with the edges cut of so to speak.

And is this the only game you play where crossfire doesn't work? just to rule out if your cards are setup correctly for crossfire. :)

Which driver are you using benjiii? I'd recommend using the latest beta driver which is 14.9.2. I'm no expert on the Assassin's Creed games, but is this a DLC for Black Flag? If so there should be a Crossfire profile present in the 14.9.2 drivers. See below.

If you're already using the latest drivers or it's still not working then try this.

Click add in the CCC window above, add the game exe to CCC, select it by clicking on it, then select use AMD pre-defined profile at the bottom, then type in black flag and apply the relevant profile to the exe. Click save and play.

It is a new crossfire setup, so I had considered this. However, I have tested it in other games and benchmarks and all is well.

I'm using 14.9.2 and it's a Black Flag standalone DLC, so it uses a different .exe. However, I tried what you suggested and there is a profile for it which works. So, thank you! Weird that it didn't work normally though.
